There is a craze amongst the youngsters for  B.Tech courses. The opening of the economy has allowed foreign investment and so many MNCs have been in India after economic reforms. This has created lot many jobs for youngsters. The youngsters are getting far better job opportunities in the private sector than in the government sector. I know an individual who was from an average college earns 7lakh per month after 6 years of experience and another individual his classmate who was an army officer earns 1lakh per annum so his earning is 7 times and both of them were equally intelligent.
