This medicine works by stopping the growth of certain types of protein which is responsible for the growth of cancer cells. It helps patients’ immune systems fight cancer cells kills them and prevents them from spreading. Your doctor will decide the dose according to the stage of cancer, and the patient’s age, body weight, and overall health. After starting treatment your doctor might make changes in dose as per the response of your body.

This injection is injected every 2, 3, or 4 weeks depending on the dose. Do not try to take on your own this will increase the chance of side effects and delay the treatment. Taking in the wrong way will increase the chance of side effects. Side effects are fever, chills, shaking, neck pain, dizziness, etc.

Warnings of Atezolizumab

  • After taking Atezolizumab Injection 1200 mg which is for Lung Cancer, if you feel dizziness then avoid driving or operating heavy machines to prevent accidents.
  • Breastfeeding women should not take this or come in contact with this medicine. Pregnant or planning to get pregnant women should consult doctor first.
  • If patients miss or take an overdose, talk with the doctor for medical advice.
