Apart from these, there is a plan to re-constitute State Nursing Council and Nursing Cell in the states also. Nursing is a field that has a particularly good opportunity for women to advance. Indian women have taken advantage of the job opportunities available in the nursing field abroad, due to which the demand for professionals in this field has increased rapidly. In view of this, the Indian Medical Association is planning to revive the nursing system of the country.

These jobs are in nursing field

A doctor or hospital provides all its medical services to its patients through nursing staff. Considering the efficiency of nurses, they are given different roles. For example, nurses who look after general nursing work in hospitals, nursing homes and medical institutions are called general nurses. These nurses help in taking care of patients, assisting doctors in treatment and handling administrative tasks. The second category is that of midwives. This category includes those nurses who especially take care of pregnant women and assist during delivery. In towns and rural areas, nurses also work as health workers and here they take care of people by giving medicines, injections etc. and taking care of sick patients.

Know the syllabus of nursing

In India, only those nursing courses are recognized which are approved by the Nursing Council of India, the apex body of the Government of India. There are many courses available. After Arts or Science 10+2, ANM i.e. The Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife course is suitable. The duration of this course is 2 years and its examination is conducted by the Nursing Examination Board. After completing this, you can work as a primary or auxiliary nurse in any hospital. If you have done 10+2 with PCB i.e. Bio, then GNM i.e. General Nursing and Midwifery course and B.Sc (Nursing) course is suitable for you in the field of Nursing. However, students from some arts subjects like Maths, Psychology, Home Science, Geography and some other subjects are also admitted in GNM and the duration of this course is 3 years. Its examination is also conducted by the Nursing Examination Board. After completing this, you can work as an assistant nurse in any hospital. Whereas, the duration of B.Sc (Nursing) is 4 years and it is considered suitable for appointment as full time nurse as a recognized nursing degree course. The university conducts its examination and awards the degree of B.Sc Nursing. Courses are available at many levels in nursing. Admission to the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) course can be taken after 12th. The minimum qualification for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) has also been kept as 12th pass.

For this, you can take Masters, MPhil and PhD degrees in super specialties like Cardiology, Nephrology, Critical Care, Oncology.
