It’s all been a winning battle for TaylorMade since they first introduced the MetalWood all those years ago. Innovation has come after innovation, and they continue to push the envelope.
So let’s talk about the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver, which the company calls “a cheat code” for golf.
All marketing, or the real deal? Well, if the company’s history is any testament to the quality of their products, you can make an educated guess.
But in case you’re still skeptical, here’s what you need to know.
Upping the Game of “Fargiveness”
With the Stealth series, the name of the game has always been what TaylorMade calls “Fargiveness.”
Hit the ball farther, with less shot dispersion and fewer exaggerated shot shape variation. Sounds easy, but it isn’t.
TaylorMade has done it in the Stealth 2, though. This driver features more carbon than ever before, with nearly twice the amount of as the originalCarbonWood (also, of course, developed by TaylorMade).
It uses a new and improved Carbon Reinforced Composite Ring and other lightweight materials which enable next-generation mass distribution for a higher-performance, and more stable, club head.
The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver also features a new 60x Carbon Twist Face, a new feature that makes use of 60 layers of carbon fiber. This feature is stable, strong, and optimized for optimal energy transfer.
The face is also covered with a polyurethane nanotexture cover that ensures higher forgiveness, and optimal launch, regardless of playing conditions – even when it’s wet.
The new and improved TaylorMade Stealth 2 driver has been reconstructed with a heavy 25g weight situated on the inertia generator, adding mass to the clubhead and improving forgiveness.
It also features a TPS Front Weight that is strategically located on the sole which optimizes launch and spin characteristics, and, once again, improves forgiveness.
This new TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver offers a higher Moment of Inertia than ever before, defining the term “fargiveness.”
Hit the ball farther, experience less shot dispersion, than ever before. It’s like a cheat code for golf.
“Sound” Performance
One more little note that’s a game changer for the engineers at TaylorMade as well as for golfers.
We all know that acoustic feedback is an irremovable aspect of golf, and without which, the game could hardly be called sensorily complete.
As such, the curvature, overall shape, and internal stiffening ribs of the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver have been meticulously refined and engineered to deliver the perfect sound on impact.
But this post won’t defame it in writing. You’ll have to hear it.
