First-Time Visit to Gorgeous Chicago: A Tour Guide
I usually have a great time in Chicago, and I’m glad to share this guidance with you. It’s ideal for first-time Chicago visitors but offers plenty of unique experiences for seasoned tourists. We enjoy visiting with Husdon. So I’ve noted where you may and cannot bring your pets to the city if you want to travel with your dog. Where to Stay
Chicago is a vast city, but with proper planning, it is also incredibly accessible! If that’s important to you. Pay particular focus to where your lodgings are located so that you can easily access the sights and restaurants you are interested in seeing. Otherwise, you may easily travel around using a ridesharing service or commuter rail.
21C Museum Chicago Hotel
We stayed at the 21c Museum Chicago Hotel and it was fantastic! Several features distinguish this boutique hotel. The first of which is that the first two floors are dedicated to museums. Not any museum, the art is quite contentious, which makes it unique and worth visiting.
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago
The Kimpton Monaco Chicago has by far the nicest location of any hotel we’ve stayed at. As it’s right across the street from the Riverwalk and countless restaurants and attractions. The views are breathtaking; thus I recommend getting a corner room. The area features window seats by each window, which is impressive in itself. They are also very pet-friendly!
Best Things to Do in Chicago
With so many tourist spots, museums, restaurants, and other attractions. One trip is insufficient to see Chicago. There is so much to do, and each event requires time to appreciate and explore. My recommendation to you is to plan an itinerary and allow time for each encounter. Don’t rush; you’ll miss out. Enjoy what you planned and look forward to returning for the rest! These are my top recommendations for tourist destinations to rank on your first trip.
Millenium Park
Here you’ll find Cloud Gate, occasionally referred to as “The Bean.” Laurie Garden is also present, as is the Crown Fountain. It’s a lovely area to spend a few hours roaming about and admiring the surroundings. Side note: Despite being a park, dogs are not permitted on the grounds. We made the mistake of taking Hudson on the first day and were told to leave.
Skydeck Ledge
This experience happens in Chicago’s tallest structure and will leave you paralyzed. You will be able to see thousands of miles of breathtaking scenery in every direction from the 1,450-foot Willis Tower.
You first enter through their redesigned attraction. It highlights what Chicago is all about. Then you take an elevator to the 103rd story of the tower. You can enjoy the breathtaking views and experience the Ledge. The Ledge is a stunning glass balcony extending from the tower.
ENTERTAINMENT AND EDUCATION: INTERACTIVE AND IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES IN CHICAGO
There are numerous activities to do around. But the number of entertainment and educational possibilities is somewhat overwhelming. Here are some of the best interactive experiences in Chicago.
SHORELINE SIGHTSEEING AND ARCHITECTURAL RIVER TOUR
This event teaches you a lot about Chicago while also providing insight into how architects come up with their ideas and inspiration. Understanding the architecture, passion, and excellence that went into building most of Chicago makes you appreciate it even more.
HQ Beer Arcade
There are hundreds of pubs in and around Chicago, and you are unable to be incorrect with any of these. But, one of the greatest locations to visit in Chicago is HQ Beer Arcade. This facility, which has old arcade games, was a fantastic date night destination.
